Overview

Purpose

The LFA Green Infrastructure Practice Guide uses a simple access model: public orientation, free registered access for the Core Foundations and Framework, and organisational subscription access for the implementation layer.

This page explains what each access level includes and how councils, agencies and professional organisations can prepare for organisational subscription access.

Access principle

Explore the approach first, then subscribe for implementation

Start Here and How to Use this Guide are public. Once registered for a free account, practitioners can access the Core Foundations and 3×3 Framework. Organisational subscriptions provide the detailed Step-by-step material needed to prepare, review and improve GI AMPs.

Access levels

Public access

Public pages introduce the Guide and help visitors decide whether it is relevant to their work before registering for a free account or exploring organisational subscription access.

Public access
Included Purpose
Landing page Explains the purpose of the Guide and the access pathway.
Start Here Introduces the first-cycle AMP pathway and where to begin.
How to Use this Guide Explains how the online Guide is organised and how to move through the public, free-account and subscription layers.
Subscriptions page Explains free account access and organisational subscription access.

Free account access

Individuals can register for a free account using their own work email address. This allows practitioners to understand the approach before seeking organisational approval for implementation access.

Once registered for a free account, users can access the Core Foundations and the 3×3 Framework. These pages explain the concepts, language and structure of the method.

Free account access
Included Purpose
Core Foundations Explains the core concepts behind GI asset management, including what GI includes, why GI needs a different asset management lens, and service potential.
3×3 Framework Shows how the method is organised across three phases and nine Steps.

Organisational subscription access

An organisational subscription provides access to the practical implementation layer of the Guide. This is the material a council, agency or professional organisation uses to prepare and improve GI Asset Management Plans — the how-to of implementation.

Organisational subscription access
Included Purpose
Steps 1–9 Detailed Step-by-step guidance for preparing the GI AMP.
AMP Writing Overview Guidance for turning the Step outputs into AMP chapters.
Tools and templates Practical resources to support registers, checks, assumptions, improvement actions and planning tasks.
Worked examples Examples that show how the method can be applied in practice.
Case studies and resources Supporting material to help practitioners communicate, adapt and apply the method.

Who subscribes

Subscriptions are intended for organisations rather than individuals. This is because GI AMP preparation usually involves more than one person and requires coordination across asset management, open space, sustainability, engineering, finance and executive decision-making.

A subscriber organisation may include a council, state agency, public land manager, authority or other asset-owning organisation involved in planning, funding or managing green infrastructure. Consultant access may be available where the consultant is supporting a subscriber organisation, or by separate licence arrangement.

Pricing approach

Subscriptions are intended to be annual and organisation-based. Pricing is expected to vary by organisation type and size, while keeping access simple: subscriber organisations receive access to the full implementation layer of the Guide.

Launch pricing will reflect the staged development of the platform. At launch, the Guide will provide the core method and full implementation guidance. Templates, tools, worked examples, case studies and future AMP Builder functionality may be released progressively.

Launch position

No joining fee during the launch phase

The launch subscription model is intended to be simple and low-friction. A joining fee is not proposed during the launch phase. A limited founding subscriber offer may be made available to support early adoption and feedback.

Training and support

Training, workshops and implementation support will generally be separate from the annual organisational subscription.

This keeps the subscription focused on access to the Guide platform and implementation resources, while allowing LFA to offer separate paid learning, webinars or advisory support where appropriate.

How to express interest

Until formal subscription processing is enabled, organisations can register interest by contacting Chris Champion at chris@landscapefoundation.org.au.

If you are exploring access on behalf of a council, state agency, public land manager or professional organisation, include your organisation name, role, likely number of users and the GI asset classes of most interest.
